So the wheels are spinning.... thinkin of building a long arm kit this summer once I have the garage to myself for the rear... this short arm unibody mount **** has me worried everytime I go wheelin... Vinny.. you wanna join in the venture? It'd be nice to do it at the same time and share info....

no pic's here, i got home thinking "don't forget the camera" yes i left w/o it. Had a great weekend though. Now that i smashed my passenger 1/2 door and rear i'm thinking of a new 1/2 door idea.

Vinny, Horus, or anyone......
Know anything about the 99-04 4.7L V-8? Reliability? Longevity? I'm thinking about getting a WJ for my wife's daily, but not sure if I should stick with the trusty 4.0L since most of the nicer ones are V-8s. My 4.0L has almost 200,000 now.

Oh, and I have some more pics for Memorial day, I just have to sort through them (100+) before I upload them.

Me likes the 4.7.... :) Small and potent... but $#@% what do I know... I've got a 4.0 and can't keep the Check Engine light off haha....

Brian... we need to talk Russ into a Salmon La Sac camping trip this summer!

for sure, I'd like to go up there again and camp down lower away from the mosquitoes. the top had some nice camp views, but I don't know if we can get a 5 gallon bucket of bug dope we would need.

have you ever run the other trail up there, van epps pass? easy trails, but any scenic family stuff?

I would say if you have no plans to wheel it.....go for the 4.0L. Good on gas, and a solid motor.

Went to Reiter on Sunday last minute to show a budy around in his new Rubicon. We did Sac up, power line trails, a little rock garden action, and cable. Half way into cable trail I here a loud snap, rear axle broke. I think Yukon knows me by my first name now. :)

DNR is closing the bulk of Reiter this Friday. May creek and beyond as well as all the upper trails. Its over.

I took the rest of the week off and will head up either tonight or tomorrow mourning. Going to run BYS, SOL, TOD, etc, and finish off ZJ #2. FYI ecology blocks and signs start going in Friday afternoon.

Any of you guys bought a RC crawler? Man these these bad boys are sweet. I bought a Losi MRC for the "kid" on saturday and have already thrown a steering screw, broken a rear locker, and busted a drive shaft U-joint. Its like a mini jeep. :)

Yeah, those things are purty kewl. After I destroy my Heep I'll have to get one of those to entertain me.

Hello eveyone. I am a Gresham, Oregon resident who has two ZJ's and i am interested in doing some wheeling. I am unaware of any places to go and NOT get into trouble for cruizin around. Any ideas? First off the Jeeps are 1.) 1994 stocker, 4.0 bone stock. Second is 1993 5.2, tuff country 4 inch, 31 10.5 bfg's.
Fellow NW any Ideas?

Closest place to you is Tillamook State Forest. Take 6 west towards Tillamook and stop at the Shell station before headin into the forest and get a orv permit and a map of all the trails. Stage at Browns or Rogers camp. Fun times, good trails from beginner to advanced.
