Ok so, after this summer i will be needing new tires, plus i'm going to be needing control arms at some point, etc.

Would like to go up to a 33 and plan on putting on adjustable control arms. Along with it i would like to go another 2" via spring spacers. I'm currently sitting on 4" of lift, wondering what else i may need to have the 6" of lift.

at 4" of lift you should be able to run 33's
Agreed. IMO, 6" on short arms is a bad idea, terrible ride, no flex. Have you tried to put the 33s on there with the 4"? If not, I bet they fit.

I've seen them fit but my main reason for wondering this wa due a lot of the wheeling i do i flex it enough to rub 31s. Though i have been curious how much flex i can get with 33s... i was thinking about going to a 33x10.5 but i'm having trouble finding some for a decent price. What offset/size rim should i use for a 33x12.5? Obviously a lot of fender cutting will be required.

4" on a 33x10.50 is a perfect set up and perfectly doable!

6" for 33s is silly IMO. That extra lift is going to cause a terrible ride, and require more 'stuff'.

2 things:

Trim & Bumpstop accordingly.

I ran 34x10.50 on 4.5" on my xj. All I did was trim. Factory bumpstops. No rub.

Seriously thinking of going 35x12.50 on 5" on my ZJ, but the 12.50 tire will be a little more of a challenge. Stick to a stock 15x7 w/a 1-1.25" spacer, or an aftermarket 15x7 w/4" back space and you'll be golden.

I intend to run 35's at 4" of lift, I have added bump stops and will cut, and trim where needed. I am ordering up a set of 3.75" backspaced wheels and going to wheel the hell out of it.

I currently have my 31s on the stock rims with no spacers and they rub the odd time here and there while turning... i may end up trying 33x12.5s anyway. Due i just found out a buddy of mine's putting 35s on his tj and is going to be selling his 33x12.5s for cheap on rims... worst comes to worst i'll put my 31s back on then when they wear out buy 33x10.5s

I have to agree with everybody else on this. I'm running 35x12.50r15's on 5.5". I trimmed my fenders, took a BFH to the pinchwelds, and am running 4" of BS. I need to extend my bumpstops a bit with the new KM2's on the way so I don't chew them up, but 6" of lift for 33's is way excessive.

are u sure your tires are rubbing your fenders? it's super common for a 10.50 to rub on lcas, but not so much on fenders. at least my xj didnt on a 4" lift.

trim some more..

I haven't trimmed at all... normal turning it will rub on the sway bar, flexing it will rub on the fenders.

You need to get wheels with at 4" backspacing or less that than even. My tires rub my sway bar right when it was stock. I have actually wore a hole both sides in the plastic inner fender at the front. BFH is going to be the solution to my rubbing well where ever that is possible. I already pulled the plastic bumper cover off and plan on building a front winch bumper. And trimming the fenders isn't going to both me as there is a rust hole at the fender lip.

Im 6" on 33/12.50/15 on a 3.75" backspacing. I rubbed my fenders at 4.5 with no bumpstop. Pic is from Moab EJS 2011. It performed very well. No rubbing. I agree it is excessive but im not a fan of trimming.

Ideally I would like Iceland Fender flares and 35s at this lift.
