How much?
idk,50 bucks?

j/k..20 bucks?i think when i get lights,im going to go with daylighters so i wont be using these anyways.only thing i dont have is a switch but you plan on using the fog light wiring anyways.these are the driving light pattern fyi

this is the fog pattern

this is the driving pattern

the driving puts light out to the side a little but not as much as the fog since its more of a long range light.still really helpful on the trail.i think a good setup would be a set of long range/driving and a set of fogs to cover everything.

But soon to be 4" lift right?? :)
Yes, but I might not own it by then  I kid I know offered me 5k for my jeep minus the ARB bumper which I will keep, but he gets my brand new lift :( I would then buy the 5.9 that is currently forsale on mallcrawlin. im not 100% sure I want to do this yet, but theres a big possibility, I just dont want to start over after its come so far

I know the 5.9L is the Holy Grail of ZJ's, but is it really that big a deal when building an offroad rig! I mean I like em, they are cool, like fuzzy's is b1tchin, but they were originally built to be yuppie motorhead Jeeps. NO INSULT TO 5.9Ls or their owners!!!!! But it is true! Personally I would keep what ya have and just add the 5.9L stuff you want to it. Think it would be cheaper in the long run!! Just my 2 cents, for what that is worth!!

From one friend to another

The 5.9 has a full exhaust, headers back to a high flow cat to a magnaflow muffler, MP ECU and a BB on 31's. So basically ill be where im at now

That is not so bad then, just don't want to go backwards!! Of course, now you got to start over with the 4" lift though too, which kinda s#cks!! I have been in your shoes with muscle cars (back when they were cheap and I had money-haha) I sold quite a few NICE cars to finance buying my "dream" car, only to have the dream car turn into a money sucking nightmare!! Somethimes just need to sit back and ask, why is this person selling this vehicle for such a good deal? I like the sound of the 5.9L, sounds like a cool rig, probably b1tchin sounding too!! But trust me on this, if I would have just kept one vehicle and stuck with it, rather than selling and buying aevery time something "cooler" came along, I'd have one wicked nasty awesome vehicle right now for about a tenth the money I have spent over the years!!! And that is the cold hard truth of it! Not to say the 5.9L could not be cool, but from one friend to another, I think you have a b1tchin rig now, hate to see you spend a lot of time and money to start over. FOR WHAT ITS WORTH!! Good luck, know its a tough decision!! Been there done that!!

Here are the two 5.9's I am deciding between. I REALLY like the slate one, because Ive always wanted a slate 5.9, and it has less miles and is REALLY clean. I also like the platinum one too tho, but it has more miles, but it also has a brand new interior and brand new suspension everything. Im waiting to hear back from Totty on the slate one. If he accepts my offer I should be down to pick it up within a week! if not, Ill be picking up the platinum one next weekend. Bye bye Green ZJ!

x2 ive owned 8 cars and im only 20 and wish to god everyday i would of stuck with one of those 8 ive had and built it up and still have it to this day. we wasted sooo much $$ by doing that and almost every time i went to sell it, took a loss just becuase i wanted it gone to get the other thing. sometimes its just better to keep what ya got and be done with it

buy curt's 5.9 between those 2.

negotiate to keep your lift too. its not even on yet, you can't deal to sell it with parts that aren't on the car yet!

They are both pretty sweet!!! Love the Slate one also, but the Blakc metallic is an awesome color too!! Look nice with 4" of lift and 33's :)

Here is what i was told is done to the Platinum ZJ

Doug Thorley headers, which are a copy of the Mike Leach headers (according to Nick). These headers are not nickel plated - they're ceramic coated. Nick's cat-back is Jet Hot coated. Magnaflow large-body muffler and Random Technologies high-flow cat. O2 sensors were replaced when the exhaust system was installed.

Yes, the Mopar performance ECU is installed. Premium gas only. The cap/rotor were replaced, I believe I have NGK spark plugs in it and the plug wires are Magnecor. The coil is either Accel or MSD - I'd have to look because I bought one of each and one went in the '96.

To give you an idea of things I've replaced, here is what I can remember off the top of my head: shocks (MX6 adjustables), coil springs (new Up Country), upper spring isolators, front bump stops/bump stop cups, end links (JKS Quicker-disconnects), front axles (new, not rebuilt), all the front suspension with the exception of the track bar, including the control arm bushings, Vanco big brake kit, tires (spare tire and rim match), hitch (new OEM), hitch harness (new OEM dealer installed version), headlights (Crown EU glass version), tail lights (Crown OEM replacements), rear pads/rotors (Performance Friction Carbon Metallic), front brake lines (Goodrich stainless steel), cooling fans (new OEM), radiator cap (new OEM), rear wiper motor (Mopar rebuilt), hatch struts, hatch glass struts, hatch glass release button, license plate lenses (has LED lights in it right now), rear track bar, overhead console (new OEM), shifter knob (new OEM), carpet (new OEM), console lid (new OEM), transfer case shifter assembly (new OEM), shifter bezel (new OEM), TC bezel (new OEM), steering column upper/lower trim (new OEM), cluster bezel (new OEM), steering wheel (new OEM), headlight switch (new OEM), heated seat/rear wiper switch assembly (new OEM), turn signal multifunction switch (new OEM), seat belt adjuster knobs (new OEM), spare tire cover (new Bestop), front/rear/cargo liners (new CatchAll), speakers (new 6.75" front/rear doors, 5.25" sound bar, Infinity Kappa), head unit (new RB1), battery (new Interstate), passenger/driver's side kick panel trim (new OEM), rear passenger side quarter panel trim (new OEM), DDM (used OEM), key fobs (used OEM), keys (new OEM round-head), center console cup holder insert (new OEM), faux wood dash trim (new OEM), brake pedal cover (new OEM), emergency brake handle (new OEM), tilt steering knob (new OEM), under hood insulation (new OEM), front corner lights (new aftermarket clear), front turn signals (new aftermarket EU), front tow hooks (used OEM). There's more, but that's all I can think of for now.
