Heres my baby a well used and abused but well taking care of 1993 ZJ. Its the 5.2, 249. Has a IRO long arm kit with 8 inch coils. Rubicon Express Adjustable track bars front and rear. IRO double shear track bar bracket up front. IRO's Over the Knuckle steering with heim joints. Rubicon Express 28 in long stainless brakelines front and rear. Rubicon Express Sway bar disconnects up front, no sway bar in the rear. Shocks are 12 inch travel, (32in Ext., 20 in compr.) It also has a custom front driveshaft out a place in Utah. Its got a 7 or 8 inch slip built it, and is a double cardan. So it allows plenty of travel.

Wheels are 15x8 RockCrawlers with 3.75 back spacing, Tires are 35x12.50 Procomp Extreme Mud Terrains.

For axles it got Yukon Chromo's in the rear with a LockRight. 3.73s still.

Armor is Trail Gear sliders, welded in 3 places. Front bumper is a custom tube prerunner built by TXpro here in texas, with a winch plate and is welded not bolt on.

Engine has an electric fan conversion, MSD ignition pieces, Hypertech PCM, K&N CAI, Flowmaster 40 series.

Inside is all dynamatted, with infinity kappa 6.75s in all the doors, and soundstream tweets in the dash. Powered by a 7 in touch screen DVD player. It has a single 12in sub in the back with a 700w mono sub amp powering it.

Its got spray on bedliner on the roof between the rack rails for camping gear, also did the rear hatch and side mouldings and the hood. It helps keep scratches at bay and is easy to retouch. I did the hood louvers myself.
Its been mine for 3 years now. It was bone stock when i first got it. After my first deployment it got a 6 inch short arm kit. Then it evolved from there. Im getting ready to deploy again, and it will get a tube rear bumper, front locker, and some corbeau seats.

I have done all of the work myself, with the exception of the welding.

And heres where my heads at with the rest of it....

The window nets are RJS SFI approved from summit, and have quick release mounts. Should look a little like this...

and the tail lights and turn indicators are both super bright LED water proof deals from optronix. They will be in a plate off the cage like this...

Picked up this little gem today. Totally wasn't planning on getting the axles yet, but I found it on craigslist while at work and left early to snag it. Guy wanted $375 and I paid $300 cash. HP Dana 60 out of a 2002 F350. Even got the hubs and dual piston calipers. Has 4.10s in it now. Changed my plans a little with the 8x170mm bolt pattern, so now im going with the Sterling 10.5 rear to match. The parts yard is having 1/2 off sale July4th and if I can pay $75 for it, i'll be $375 for tons. Can not beat that. (yes its drivers side drop, axles upside down and at 580 lbs its staying that way)

one side even has new ball joints

Im gonna start looking for front brackets now, drivers side tube is a little (lot) short, but im planning coilovers so I should be able to fit it all.

Got some more progress done this weekend. I got my bottle mounts made for the nitrous and got the tail lights finished so its legal to drive again.

For the bottle mounts I used 1 inch steel strap just like the factory bottle mount was. I cut off their legs and made my own to make it fit between the rear seat and the center console. The valve is right there when I need it and I can keep an eye on the pressure gauge.

its mounted with 4 #14 screws, and not going anywhere.

Then I went to work on the LED tail lights. I used a plasma cutter to make the holes in the plate and used 1/8th plate.

I welded it to the down tube on the cage and across the bumper.

And at least I remembered how to weld today...

and then i tied the top together with a gusset to finish it off.

Heres how it looks finished with paint and lights.

Heres how she sits. Gotta say thats a mean *** looking grand cherokee. You can see the window nets are mounted now too (forgot to take pics).

Next up is running the lines for the NOS and test and tune. Then Im gonna snag a rear sterling and start my one ton swap.

BOOM goes the dynamite. Got the last braided line I needed and went ahead and installed the NOS solenoids and fogger nozzle. Im pretty happy with how clean the install went. I went all gangster style and used the horn buttons to activate it. Today will be the test run. Now theres two ways up and obstacle, the nice way, and the **** it way!

Man I love all the work you've done to this thing! It looks mean and I bet it can back it up. I'm not big on exo cages but you put some time in following those nice zj lines and it looks clean as hell. With your long arm kit and living in Texas now do you do any high speed running with it? I want to build mine into a fast prerunner style with 4wd so i can still hit trails with my kids and wife.

Thanks man! It took a lot of trial and error with the exo but Im totally stoked about how it came out. I hate how boxy most are.

Actually Im from Arizona originally and a go fast guy at heart. I was into drag racing for a while as a teenager and had 4 mustangs and a crotch rocket. Hence the reason Its got a 5.9 and now the Nitrous, I love to go fast. I got into rocks from my brother, so I use it as an all around offroad toy.

Im actually going to swap to coilovers and air bumps when the one ton axles go in. My goal is a 4 seat baja ready family wheeler. I want to be able to attack the desert at 75 mph or crawl through a canyon. I could never do the coilovers before, due to the lack of strength of the unibody. Now that the cage is done they will be tied into it. The rear ones will come up through the floor and have a mini cage in the rear cargo area. Its gonna be wicked.

HA! Taking longer. I started mine in 2008! Its been 5 years already, hard to believe all the stages its been through. It makes it a lot easier now that its trailered and not my daily driver. Your welcome for the service! Im actually heading back over to the sand box for a 3rd time in september, thats gonna fund this next round of mods.
