Only around 3k, 4k max. So not brand new...but I have never gone through joints that fast on any vehicle.

Well, It looks like the joints were wearing fast because the CV section of my cardan joint was toast. I had the driveline rebuilt this morning, and WOW what a difference. The WJ has NEVER felt so good at highway speed since I've owned it. At 70, it felt very smooth. I also dropped it into 4lo, and the clunking/grinding is gone!!!

I guess I should see if 4WP has some par pin eliminators in stock tomorrow, I would like to eliminate that one last annoying sound up front.

Here is the driveline just before it went in. For a minute, I thought there was a problem. The joints fit so tightly into the yoke, that they were not going in between the ears on the yoke. I had to snug the bolts up slightly to get them to pop into place. I am very happy with the smooth ride.

One last upgrade before we head out to Moab tomorrow for GSW...
I really needed bar pin eliminators as the shock bushings were not staying in place, it was actually getting pretty annoying. When this happens (pretty common on the WJ's and ZJ's, the shock contacts the axle mount and rattles. I am glad this sound is now gone.

I am glad there is a 4wp close to me, I have been there twice in the last week.

Here is what both sides looked like:

That's nice to know, I bought a double front drive shaft for the white wj then ended up getting the overland and that already had a double front drive shaft, I was thinking about returning the new shaft but maybe I'll keep it just in case after what you went through.

you know mine makes a rattle noise from the back when hitting bumps it almost sounds like a bad shock and it did it before I lifted it too, I was thinking it was bad shocks then...

I think it's above my gas tank or something because when I hit the bottom of the tank it rattles, pisses me off because the gas tank looks like a pain to pull, suck if I go to all the trouble then it turns out to be something else, LOL

You could have rocks on top of there too. Crazy I know, but I have pulled rocks out of skids and unibody rails that were making all sorts of noise.

Teaser Video...I will get more pics and vids up later of Hells Revenge.

Awesome video. Next year count me in for 2012.

Sweet. Akrobatiks (on JeepForum) drove out from Chicago. He has the black WJ in that video.

I was having problems uploading this one with the music...so here is the no music version of Hells Gate.

Check it out, my wife was terrified, thought I was going to roll the Jeep and die.

After the Moab trip, I decided it was time for a balance/rotation of the tires. They couldn't get two of the center caps out, and were worried they would break them. They were frozen in there with a bit of corrosion. So I went out in the shop, grabbed the hammer from them, and shattered the center caps.

I told them they didn't have to feel bad because I broke them, so they balanced them and I was on my way. I ordered new caps:

They are too shiney, and made my rims look like trash.

So...I did what any jeeper would do. I was in the driveway using flood lights to polish my wheels until after 11 pm last night so that the center caps wouldn't look too out of place.

My wife also cleaned out the Jeep. For a 00, this thing sure looks good still.

Akro is running 33 inch Goodyear Duratracs on 17 inch wheels. They did great on the slickrock, I have thought of getting some for my next set as they seem to have great snow/ice ratings, which is important in Northern Utah.

Oh okay, they have those up at my local Walmart. I may have to go take a look at them

My wife called to say she was at Target, and the Jeep wouldn't start. The battery was officially dead. I replaced the battery, cleaned up the clamps, good to go again.

I also replaced the cooling fan relay last week, quite the experience. I removed the grill, bumper, and header panel to get to it...kind. of ridiculous.
