I am going to look into that! I really dont want to buy new ones when there is nothing wrong with them other than the oxidation

I have that 3M plastic cleaner, but never thought to use it on my headlights. I have always used it in the past to clean up the plastics on my four wheeler. It is good stuff.

After changing the oil today, I started playing around. I tested the ball joints, and it looks like I need to replace them on both sides. I also decided to test fit my spare as I haven't ever run it.

Last summer, I had to get a spare before a long trip. So I bought an incubus rim because I needed one fast. It was the only thing I could find in Utah...5 on 5 with the right backspacing. I needed a tire too, and found one locally for $25. It was a brand new ProComp AT. I couldn't beat the price, and needed everything that weekend so I bought the tire and wheel.

So here are pics of the test fit with the new Incubus wheel on front. After putting it on, I am now thinking of getting three more and putting some BFG AT's on them. I would put the white letter out. Here is it, what do you think of the look?

idk, i'm not a fan of the 2 colored rims. i think just plain black ones would look great

I think they look decent. Similar to the wheels that my friend has on his Chevy, except his have black spokes, and only the edge is chrome...

I think they'd make some nice street wheels. then you'll still have the chromies to put some mudders or boggers or something for when you go out to play.

Later.

i like them but.....whats easier to clean...the black can hide it some but what has the more pits and grooves..thats where your dirt and muds going to stick....

Well, I think I might do it. I will wait for summer and get a few more miles out of the MTR's. I am going to get some BFG AT's, and will make up my mind at that point. The reason I got this rim instead of a steel wheel is that it was the same price, but there was one of these in town. The 5 on 5 really limits what wheel options you have.

Dude, you could rock white walls and your WJ would still kick a$$...I love it man, its so purdy. Looking good man!!!

come on trim it some more, i test fit my 39,5" boggers on the front a while back and there was minor running with the 6.5" RK long arms

this is with all the weight of the vehicle on the rim and tire

nice stance!!!!! big tire, little lift concept,

i [plan on running the boggers with the 6.5" springs and the coil buckets on the axles raised up about 1" on a HP60 and 14 bolt, i think that will give me about 7.5" to 8"s of lift over stock

Thanks Rock. I don't know about the whitewalls though...

Adam, I know I need to trim more, but don't think I will go as drastic as you as this is still a DD for my wife. She has been driving it since we sold the ZJ...something about not wanting to drive the Camaro in the snow...I think I am going to find a new car for her so I can drive this as my DD again. I don't want to go through another Utah winter driving my Camaro. I am glad she likes jeepin though, so I can get away with putting money into the Jeep much more easily than the Camaro.

I need to do the ball joints soon. I just tested them this weekend, and all four have movement. I hate balljoints, not the hardest job, but time consuming.

dude you can rock white letters out on you WJ especially if go to those new rims...good contrast man!!!...

what width is your 16" rim??
My rims are 16x9's. My spare is a 16x8, and works just fine.

Backyard wheeling...

Had to get the WJ inspected today, so I pulled the tint off on Saturday. I got pulled over last month for it...my wife got sick of rolling down the windows every time she saw a cop, so I had to strip it. The whole time I was thinking...what the heck am I doing!!! I am going to have to tint it as dark as I can legally...
