Say i get a set of 33's, will i be able to wheel easy on the stock axles and 4inch coil springs? I'm not afraid to trim because i'm eventually upgrading to d44 front and d60 rear and plan on keeping the lowest center of gravity i can. I didn't know how bad it would rub with it like that. If i can use the 4inches of lift what else am i going to need.

Basically whats the cheapest way to go about this because i plan on keeping it temporary over the winter and maybe into spring some so not much wheelin wheel get done just road driving.

If i understand what i have read i can run 4" coil's, new shocks, steering stabilizer, new lower control arms, and some good body trimmin'. Am i correct?

I'm trying to figure out how to do it and be able to upgrade in the future and maybe be able to reuse some of what i already have when i do the axle swap.

At 4" of lift you can run 33s if you don't mind trimming some sheet metal. Your list of things to get is good, but should also include a good front adjustable trac bar at least (a rear might be good also, but is not a must). You are also going to need a wheel with more back spacing. DO you currently have the 30/35 combo? If so, be easy on the 35 with 33" tires.

I've got 33" BFG A/T's on 3.5" lift right now. The only thing I had to do for street driving is flatten the pinch seam and trim a small bit off the bottom of the fender. It doesn't rub but its real close. I still need to work on the bump stops and probably trim some more to minimize rubbing when flexed.

Not sure. To be honest i just got the jeep a few weeks ago and pulled the tranny last weekend. Payed no attention to the axles. It's a 94 v8 so i think its got the 44hd? Not sure about the wheels, a friend from work has a set for cheap, so I will have to find out about the backspacing.

If it is a 94 no matter whether you have the I6 or V8, you have a d35 in the rear.
Okay, I guess i found some bad info on the net then. Thanks for straightening that up. Either way, i don't plan on getting to serious because I know those axles are extremely weak. I would say for now its gonna be a road runner mostly.

if it ewre me and i was planning an axle upgrade this spring, i wouldnt waste my time lifting it to fit 33's. you said yourself you wont be wheeling it for now. sounds like a waste of time imo

Yeah, but I do want to wheel this winter some. I mean it will defiantly be taken out, i just don't plan on wheeling it as hard as i will when i get the new axles. I don't know maybe it is a waste of time, but if i think i can get buy and then resell most of the stuff (which i know i can) when i'm ready to axle upgrade i think i can justify spending whatever i am going to to get it ready.

Well i have thought about what you said pretty hard tonight, and I think your right, why dump 700 bucks in it just to wheel it maybe 5 times, brake an axle possibly put myself out more money, when i can just wait and by next jan be ready to start everything.

So with that said, what would be the best setup for me if I want to run say 35s not caring to trim the holy crap out of the fenders, and keep a low center of gravity? I will do my own 4 link setup, so I just need to know like springs, shocks, spacers, stuff like that.

Thanks everyone for you help!
