Fred. ya that's how much I spent by ordering direct. I called them up and specified ZJ. btw. Jay (of Norwalk) was the person who talked me into this, and both of us have them installed will no issues at all.

According to Jay, his steering feel has improve a lot. I can't report to you yet, 'casue mine is not driveable yet - still waiting for the Kevin's track bar mount, which should be here today :)

Oh. I found out afterward that Kolak can hook you up with currie also.

Fred, didn't you said last year at GSE you are interest in taking my Front stock Sway bar? I still have it if you want. ... This way I don't have to slow down for you this year driving down to GSE :p

Yeah Gerry, sure, heheheh.... :? :( <mixed emotions

Actually I am still interested. Since mine is bent up quite a bit, it would probably be welcomed by my ZJ. And since I often run with mine disconnected and even when connected never go over 70mph, I really don't thibk I need an Addco.

If you can bring it along I'd appreciate it.

Fred: I'm planning on trailering my ZJ down this year anyway, so if I make it FUBAR then I can still drag it home afterwards. But I appreciate the offer nonetheless.

Jeez Tracey, now I really do think you won Lotto. Not only are you running 36s, you're trailering down!

You really know how to make a guy feel inadequate.

All of you guys, running big ol' tires and trailering your ZJs... at least you and Clayton.

I guess I should just get used to the idea that I'm always gonna be a day late, a dollar short and one step ahead of the sheriff. :(

Yeah, but Fred, if it wasn't for a generous Uncle and Father, I'd be driving my Jeep down. And one of my biggest limiting factors in GSE's past was the drive home, so I figure if I remove that from the equation more fun can be had.

Well, the 8.8 rear, Detroit rear, TruTrac front, 4.56's, ball joints, and D30 truss will be finished today. The 2" BB is going on top of the 4.5" RE springs so that my new 35x12.5x15 TruXus will fit after a lot of trimming...

Now I have to trailer the Jeep home to figure out what I did to it last weekend up at Drummond Island. I have no oil pressure now and I used 6 quarts of oil driving the Jeep about 3 hours on Tuesday. I have a feeling it is bearings somewhere in the engine. Another possibility is that I floated a valve or lobed a cam. So, GSE is suddenly very iffy as to whether I will make it or not. Just depends on how quickly I can figure out what I did and how long it takes to fix it. There is a 5.9 engine for sale on Ebay right now though...

Well, the wrecked ZJ engine donor will be delivered to my garage tonight. My engine is about 75% out of the rig. I will get both ready to pull, then do the swap either Friday or Saturday. I hope to be driving it by Sunday afternoon. I still need to break the gears in and put some miles on the other engine to make sure it will make it to GSE and back. If not, I will be driving down in the pavement pounder 5.9 so I can at least attend and beg a shotgun seat from someone...

it'll be ready brad. don't sweat it. I will be down to help you friday, sat. night and all day sunday.

My jeep is just about ready, I just have to find a front DS.

Well, after 9-6 in the garage on both Sat and Sun., I am mostly ready. Boy am I sore though....

Still gotta' change tires back to the swampers, tighten the rockrails (yes I always mange to break them loose somehow after a couple of weekends at Paragon) and do a lot of other small stuff, but now we are at T-3 days and counting....I took Wed. off too to wrench.

I still have no idea when I am leaving this area to head down there (due to the GF's schedule), but I will see you all sooner or later!

Well, the beast will be staying in Michigan this weekend. I guess I will have to ride shotgun with Joe or someone else willing to give up a seat. I pulled the motor, tranny, t-case, and driveshafts. The motor is torn down completely and will be treated to a complete rebuild as I have time and cash to do it. So, I will be driving the 5.9 down for the weekend. Any dragstrips in the area?

Yea there is a short mud dragstrip that leads right to the main mudhole on Friday night. Be there or be a puss.

I'm cuttin' it close!

My sliderz shipped on thursday 29th... they're currrently in Illinois and are scheduled for delivery on THURSDAY THE 5TH!  whew!

So by my calculation, I'm looking at leaving here around 2:00 (assuming UPS runs early as usual and i can get them on with no big probs) That puts me in Winchester around 9:00 thursday night at the earliest.

See y'all there!

Oh man.... no more mud! I decided to have some fun with a friend at the Mounds, just north of Flint, MI...... The good part is that the new alternator is in and working, so now I can make the 9 hour drive to VA!

I wish I wasn't still taking classes! It's driving me nuts trying to finish up projects and tests before I leave. If I werent, I'd probably be trying to hook up with the crowd leaving from CT, but instead, I'll be leaving Flint, MI, around 12:30 Thursday afternoon.

Looking forward to meeting you all!
I can't wait!
Don.

Good luck getting them. UPS actually LOST my Sliderz. How the #E!! do you lose a set of rock rails??? There things are NOT small. They were supposed to be delivered on Friday and finally showed up on the UPS page as lost on Saturday. At least I don't need to get them installed with the rig being dead, but it still pi$$es me off.
