I bought the kit and i'm pleased with it for the most part. If you have half a brain you can fix the other issues that come up during installation. Strengthening this kit isn't that hard either. Here are pics of how it looks after i put it on over a long weekend.

I haven't fully flexed it out yet. I'll assume it pretty good if i just disconnect the JKS'. From the pictures up top, it looks pretty flexible.

the instructions suck, call and ask for torque specs. It wasn't too bad to install w/pic from the mag. article. overall the kit works great, i reinforced my whole unibody rail w/3x3x1/4" angle to strengthen it. Every thing seems very burly, specially sience iv seen other kits.Oh I ve had very bad luck w/ wait time from rustys. lift = 1month , rear axle brackets = 3 months. still dont have them, prob. last parts i order. The lift is sweet though.

That's odd, my whole kit came in 2 weeks. The only thing they forgot was the rear trackbar, which they had to me by the end of the week.

And yes the instructions SUCK!

I have a question for you. Did you recieve rear trackbar extension bolts?
Rusty's told me they weren't needed and that they don't use them anymore for this kit. Does that sound like BS to anyone else?

track bar extension bolts? I think i got short handed on the bolts, Like one whole hand full. I went down to napa and bought a good supply of bolts and hardware. I think they wanted you to reuse you existing bolts. My track bar fit right in though.

Sounds like BS to me. I have always seen them come with new bolts.

I think there is confusion about what i'm asking. I'm asking about the connecting bolts that connect the swaybar to the axle in the rear. They would be the same as the JKS disconnects up front, but they don't disconnect. I'm not talking about the bolts that bolt the swaybar to the body. It would be impossible to reuse the old connections because the axle is so much further away from the body after the lift. Do you know what i'm asking now?

I don't feel any odd body roll or abnormal driving without the rear sway bar connected, but i do know that Rusty's still sells the entensions and had them in the instructions.

Gotcha now. I still think they should have included longer ones. Your asking about the sway bar links, and with a new lift they should give you longer ones unless the kit eliminates the sway bar all together.

That's what i was interested in, because this kit doesn't have a triangulated link in the rear to eliminate the trackbar, so does that mean that it would also still have a swaybar connected?

Does the CLayton kit eliminate the swaybar?

I would think so, because of the tri-link truss..thats why I am going with it, its much stronger/better in my opinion to get a trussed rear rather than using the stock brackets
IMO :-|

Well technically speaking you dont really NEED the rear sway bar on at all. Alot of times with long arm kits people just remove them all together. Alot of people will say you shouldnt do this becasue it will allow a little more body roll around corners and such but as long as you arent doing mach 3 into a turn you should be fine. I am lifted only to 3 inches right now and I took my rear sway bar off. Still the higher the lift the more concious you should be of turns because you center of gravity is higher. That means in short you'll roll more easily. The elimintation of the rear track bar in the tri link design is to allow for greater articulation, it also simply is no longer needed with the way its built. Still, with the kit you have longer rear links should have been supplied even if they arent used. Your kit calls for them because it's not made to be able to eliminate the rear trac bar and there for also the sway bar(although the sway bar can still be kept in the tri link design also). You can remove the sway bar with your kit if you like, but Rustys really should have given you longer links to make it your decision.

I still run my rear swaybar and have never had a problem needing more suspension flex that would or could have been offered by not having the rear swaybar.
