I had a 8.8 Ford in my last Grand. Looking to get another but was wondering what's available for 99 and new diffs? What ratio gears are they usually?

For the al44, the only locker is the aussie locker. For the 30, there are all kinds of lockers, limited slips.

either the 44a or 35. The 44a was an option for both the 96 and 99. Crawl under you jeep and just read the tag. It should have the gear ratio on it too. Let us know whatcha got.

ALL 4.7s automatically come with a NON c clipped dana 44 HD part code.

same ring and pinion as your 96 v8 had, except NO c clips

You can get an aussie locker and Yukon is making ring and pinions AND alloy shafts for them..

dana 35's only come in the 6 cyl models

And for you new folks, that was Papromike out of left field. He's very knowledgable and will help out.

Where you been punk?

hey i have a 99 too and you have 30 front 44A rear with 3.73 gear and if you have quadra-drive it makes it difficult to lock them

Hey man i have a 2001 WJ and i just dont my aussie locker and it works well. I made the jump to new gears and Aussie locker, when i got my Clayton System. Irun 33" and it does well on and off road. Good power and lots of traction.
