ok, i am doing a f>r lift with 3.5 springs, i disconnected my lca's to get the springs in, i got them in, and now i am having problems, i don't have adjustable lca's or an adjustable trackbar right now, so i am trying to reconnect my lca's and hve found it to be beyond me, i can get one side of an lca lined up with the hole, but he other side wont be and i cant get the botl through, i have tried fur a couple of hours now and wanted to ask before i do something stupdi to try and get it in there, pease help

Stick a long pry bar in the spring perch, and rotate the axle that way. Also use a ratchet strap, and raise/lower the axle with a jack. Using all those techniques (possibly at once) should get you there.

Its a little late now but....you should have never taken them off. But yes by raising and lowering and using a ratching strap you should be able to. Just don't get frustrated and you will get it.

I used a ratchet strap to pull the axle forward- hooked to brush guard, another car or tree.

i know i am pobaly scraping the bottom of the barrel for i des, since everybody probably did the same things, but my real problem is that the lca, is not going straight up and down in the axle side, therefore when i get the axle side ofthe lca into the bracket, the bolt wont go all the wy through because the holes dont line up, do i need to try and pull the axleto one side so tha they do line up, my digi cam is at work, so tomorrow evening i ill take pictures if that will help any, i already tried thejack and ratchet strap thing but it didnt help with the twisted lca's, any other ideas???

I put the bolt in the axle end first, then put in the frame end. Get it close, then wiggle it in or tap it with a hammer.

is the track bar still connected?
if it is off you should be able to move the axle side to side and get the holes to line up. and then reconnect the track bar.

nah, the TB is easy... have someone turn the car in to the on postion, not running, but on, and turn the steering wheel until it lines up, you might have to tap it with a hammper or whatever to get it to move once its inside the mount, but a hammer a screwdriver an someone turning the wheel with the TB discoed, will shitf the body over the axle (assuming is on the ground) and youll be able to line it up with the screwdriver then tell them to hold it, and dont move the wheel at all while you put the bolt in, and the nut plate back in... :thumb:

You could also articulate the axle until the CA lines up. It moves in a arc so at some point it will likely line up. Thats what I did for my trac bar and it worked like a charm. If you flex up one side w/ a floor jack, and it doesnt work. Try the other side. It should get there.

hey thanks guys, i appreciate it all, i finally got everything hooked back up tonight, i unbolted the t-bar and they lined up good, now i just have to work on one mean case of deathwobble....

any ideas???? i am getting an alignment and new tires tomorrow, maybe that will help

Go back over EVERYTHING and make sure all is tight for starters. Might think about a new SS if you have not installed one yet.

After the alignment, it should be alot better.

hey whadayaknow? new tires fixed the deatrh wobble, still going to get the alignment, and yeah a steerong stabilizer soon, thanks all
