Hey Guys,

I have a 93 GC 4L and my headlights have become very dull and yellowish. Someone said to take some very light sandpaper and it will clear them up really well by taking some of that yellowing(i'm sorry i don't know what to call it) out.

Is this true? Does anyone have any other suggestions as to how I can restore them?

Thank you,

Steve

the thing with acrylics and plastics is that through being exposed to heat and UV light, the plastics do eventually change colors (usually yellow or brown). I don't think sanding the light will get it out (but its worth a try). Usually that yellowing goes all the way through the plastic. If I were you I might just go to a pick-n-pull and grab a newer set of headlights off of a ZJ

dulling

i had the same problem i found by using a razor and pulling it flat against the face of the light it removed allot then i used a light compound to get it to shine again. the wife thought i put new lights on hers when i was done! i shouldnt have told her i didnt :spank: i actually impressed her for a min! are all jeep owners as tight with money as i am????? if so how come i didnt buy a ford? they are cheap to!
