okay this is going to be long but take a min an try to help a zjbuddy out. okay ive ripped both cvc halfshafts so i just went an replaced the whole cvc half shaft that was over 6 months ago. recently i hit a curb and did two 360s and cracked my steering box so i got a new one of thoughs. to fix the allignment after the steering box i had it aligned it didnt fix it totally so i was told i need an offset ball joint to fix the pull when not holding onto the steering wheel. so as soon as i let ago of the steering wheel it pulls to the right slowly but noticably. after i just had the offset balljoint done now my left side is vibrating well the whole vehicle is vibrating when im going fast like 65mph and when im even cruising at 25mph. so im not exactly sure what the problem is im going back to the shop i delbt with for them to reallign it again to possibly fix that and fix the other problems hopefully but anyone have some imput? thanks

while these suggestions prob wont fix your prob they may help..first have you gotten your tires rebalanced? check the cvs again. check all ball joints..check your sterring stabalizer. lift each side up one at a time grab the top and bottom of your tire and try to move it..if it moves you got blown hubs (most likely the case)

i just got them balanced when i got the new tires an rims which was a good 800miles ago but after i hit jumped the curb an spun out i havent got them rebalanced. well i figured it would be the offset ball joint that would fix almost all my problems but that seemed like it only made the left side worse an which that side didnt have any problems at all. i dont know i mean it wouldnt be that bad if it was a total trail rig but this is my only vehicle

get your tires rebalanced.. a hit like that could severaly throw them out of balance..but again check your wheel bearing again a hit like that could blow it out which would cause some bad vibs as well..just be sure to check all these before spending $$ on something that possibly wont do anything but make a prob worse

also check your tie rod and drag link make sure they arent bent any..2 360s from hitting a curb could def cause the tierod or drag link to bend slightly

i dont exactly know how would i check the control bushings?

The best way would be to drop them. I could SEE one of mine was gone when it was still ON the Jeep AND connected. Mine was very obvious. If they ARE shot, it will allow the axle to wiggle around and heck yeah that would make it shake.

okay today i got my tires balanced an only one was off balanced i wished they were both badly off balanced hoping that would fix my death wobble id call it but no luck i did find out my steering stabilizer shock bolt was barely holding it on which i tightened that hoping those two things would fix it no such luck. I think my problem is that i have like play in my steering gear box in which i just replaced a month ago because im guessing if i have play in there my pitman arm would be wobbleing cause my front end to wobble at high speeds an lows . ANy one have imput thanks

well its been a week or two an i got my jeep looked at again an the guy had told me that all four of my control arms are bent. this causing my axel to be shifted towards the left and he said this is most likely the reason for the vibration. should i just go with the oem control arms?

well i do offroad as much as i can i mean last month i went offroading probably 5 times untill all these problems arose. im going to be taking it easy on offroading for a lil while untill i scrape up enough to get a long arm or move then get a long arm because my jeep only has a inch half clearance into the garge.but i do drive on the highways a few times a month plus im i do speed a lot so i do need a stable ride

A lift of up to about 3.5 inches is fine with OEM arms according to most of the info on this site from what I can tell. I'd settle for those for now until you can afford the long arm. No need to waste the money on adjustable arms for a short peiod of time but then again, if you never intend to lift above 3 to 4 inches anyway, you may as well go for some decent adjustables.

yeah for right now i think ill just go with the oem control arms cause like hopefully next year when i have a second vehicle is when i do a long arm an then ill get everything i need for that when the time comes. also how hard is it to replace the control arms? i figure they wont be that bad. the guy who looked at my jeep said my axel got shifted by putting new control arms will this straighten my axel back to the center?

well i had another look at the front end of my jeep and it looks like when the wheel is straight one wheel is straight an the other side is turned a lil bit out. this was the side i hit a curb going 45mph so would a control arm fix the problem with it? would my axel go back to the center position. maybe i bent a spindle an thats the reason for my vibration an the wheel being turned out? cause i dont want to waste my money if the new control arms arnt going to fix it i might as well do them an if that doesnt fix it ill do the spindle but maybe its just the spindle? a bearing is loose or something an its cause my wheel to wooble an turn out? any help would help thanks

Beyond what's been thrown out there already there's really nothing more anyone can say to fine tune a diagnosis to YOUR issue. It's really up to you (or someone you pay) to really dig in and bird dog this one out any further using the information that's been provided.
