The best way would be to drop them. I could SEE one of mine was gone when it was still ON the Jeep AND connected. Mine was very obvious. If they ARE shot, it will allow the axle to wiggle around and heck yeah that would make it shake.

A lift of up to about 3.5 inches is fine with OEM arms according to most of the info on this site from what I can tell. I'd settle for those for now until you can afford the long arm. No need to waste the money on adjustable arms for a short peiod of time but then again, if you never intend to lift above 3 to 4 inches anyway, you may as well go for some decent adjustables.

I don't think it would be too hard. I had to take one of mine off to replace the bushing and it went right back on with no problem. I think your best bet is to do one at a time so the axle can't move too much.

Beyond what's been thrown out there already there's really nothing more anyone can say to fine tune a diagnosis to YOUR issue. It's really up to you (or someone you pay) to really dig in and bird dog this one out any further using the information that's been provided.
