I have no experience with the wraps on the exhaust but I can tell you that wrapping your fuel rail will help prevent your rail from getting heat soaked which can heat the fuel... colder fuel will give you more low to mid boost in power. On the ZJ's, they are light enough that you may be able to feel it. if you slapped a fuel cooler in between the rail & pump with a fan on it, you will definately feel it. problem is finding a good mounting spot for it.

exhaust wrapping is not bs at all. think of it like a sleeping bag. the really nice ones say they can keep you 30 degrees warmer than the temperature. if you wrap your header it will trap all the heat inside, like a sleeping bag, and make it continue out the pipe with the exhaust gases.

you should already know the benefits of cooler under hood temperatures

I guess it's alot like the ceramic coated headers... I've never had them so I have no experience with them... I had the gibson's on my 2000 5.9 (ram) and liked them alot.

do you know if they will fit in the ZJ (or is there any 5.2 header that will fit the ZJ)?

I have played with the exhaust and intake on every vehicle I have ever owned, including three XJs and a ZJ that has run both the I6 and a 5.9. Increasing the air flow through the engine always increases horsepower, torque and mileage. The later though is usually harder to see because your right foot wants to exersise the first two.
The biggest problem with the ZJ is the restictive intake pipe and air cleaner element. As well, on the V8s, the TB hat is restrictive.Although I do and have run a total FIPK, I think the biggest problem is that the intake does not have access to cool air. I am going to put the box back in with a low restiction eliment, hook it to a smooth piece of pipe and a less restrictive hat. I plan on placing the intake for the box on the left openning of the grill. I need the extra horse power when running at speed, pulling the trailer. Off road, in the mud and water I will have to remove the front intake pipe, put the cone filter back on and let her breath through the vent.
My present exhaust is 2.5 cat into a 2.5 Flowmaster into a stock 5.9 tail pipe. Headers may come too!?

what im explaning is the wrap. its like a tape. it will work on any header. it does not affect flow in any positive or negative way. so what i am planning is getting a high performance header and wrapping it before i install it so i get the flow advantage and the heat advantage.

also ill upgrade to the 2.5 mandrel bent tubing
