I've ripped off the stock exhaust twice now, and want to know if anyone has better ideas for how to route it for better ground clearance. I have to stay NJ emissions legal, but I'm open to suggestions otherwise
eh, i'd rather have a normal looking muffler for inspections, but well see - there's plenty of race type mufflers around that dont promote unrealistic gains like that one doesAMC_Racer said:How about something like this?

understood - that was my assumption as well. i was hoping to tuck a muffler next to the 'frame rail' but i'm not sure how much room that actually would saveAMC_Racer said:Gains don't impress me unless I have the dyno slip or time slip from the track.
I was looking at a slimline standpoint and something not as disposable as a glasspack
the current muffler (a dynomax) is perfectly fine, it just pulled off the pipe after the cat. i'm just looking for a way to keeping it from hitting before i hit something else that's sturdier firstAMC_Racer said:Not sure how thick your current muffler is, but you can check also on Flowmaster's site. Still an oval case, but the thickness differences may buy you room. Besides, they're so sturdy it would almost be impossible to trash.
