Anyone wanting to meet in Dawsonville can meet at my house, I plan to be out of there a little before 1000. I live 1 mile from North GA Premium Outlets on GA 400, email me for directions.

The site is RandomTechnology.com. It's a little weird because they are located in Loganville but they wont sell or ship from there. On their site you will find a list of dealers. I ended up getting mine from martel bros. but now that Year-One is in Braselton, that might be your best bet. I've been happy with mine. It helped gas mileage, power, and a little extra sound to the flowmaster so it's cool by me. :D

Dood, thanks a 1,000,000. I've run mine w/out the guts in the CAT for close to a year now... talk about nice sound :) & I only have the 4.0. Anyway, I barely failed the emmissions test so a little bummed about having to add anything at all (but don't mind since it's for environmental regulations). So, maybe I'll see you on Saturday, I plan on being out there.

Don't wait on me unless i tell you for sure that i'm going to be there! I'll be in touch with you guys leaving the Atlanta area if I decide to go!

At any rate... Have fun!

Chris

Count me in and 1 TJ stock (probable) and one ZJ 4.5" w/ 32s (doubtful since he is a pansy)

Hey Rafe, what channel are going to be on, on the way up, im coming out of marietta. I could see if you are around me on the interstate by chance

Bad news, fellas. Looks like I am gonna have to be out of town on Sunday and Monday so you better count me out.

Rafe-If you need directions to the Lodge e-mail me or call me.

Yall have a safe ride, have fun and take lots of pics!

Anybody have a link to a decent map of the area? Amicalola and rich mt? I cant find much online- southernjeeps.org has some stuff for members only... :(

Looking forward to meeting all on Sunday...As for the Rich Mt closings, well, it appears to me that this may the "first step" in closing off the area to 4x4's and other motor vehicles. As I noted in my emails to the Federal folks, we need areas like this and we shouldn't have to travel to Alaska to see and use them. I hope that everyone will send them, the Feds, emails on this...traintrackker

 I drove over 4 hours to wheel at Rich Mountain last fall....and it was well worth the trip. Proof that if something like that were marketed properly, it could even bring in "out of state" dollars! like me! ;)

So I'll definitely send them an email.

As for sunday, it looks like i won't be able to make it...seeing that i'll have passengers and lots of luggage! Oh well! I'll sure be thinking of you guys and wishing i was there! Escpecially since i'll only be ~45 minutes away in Canton! :( be sure to take plenty of pics so i'll see what i've missed...

Harvey,

Sorry to hear you won't be joining us. My GPS can get me to the trail head but not sure about the lodge so if you could email me or something that would be cool.

Later,
Rafe

to get to lodge-

GA 400 NB from atlanta
West on GA 53 in Dawsonville
Continue on GA 53 until you "fork" to right onto GA 183
Continue a few more miles and turn right on GA 52.
The entrance to the park is on the left, the lodge is at the top of the mountain.

Anybody have a map of the trails yet?

I have never been to either trail but from what I have read anderson and amicalola are the same thing...

Can anyone confirm or deny this? I know how to get to the amicalola lodge-no big deal. From what I have read there are trails there, but some deadend and I cant find a map of them anywhere- maybe they will have one there.

The chick fila is about 20 mins from the lodge. I can meet there at 1000. I get off at 0900 and have to go home and get some things. What are we doing for lunch? I dont know the area once we leave the lodge???

Anybody wanting to meet at the chickfila----actually scratch that because they are closed on sunday. Lets make it the mcdonalds at 400 + 53.

My cell is 6782832801 and nextel 155*25400*5

eXcalibur will be meeting us at the lodge around 10-1030 in a YJ. I found him on the JU site looking for a ride this weekend. He said he may bring a friend in a TJ also.

Mickey D's @ 10:00 it is... Cell # 678 637-2000

I usually pack a cooler with a Sub, snack food, and couple of drinks just in case we don't stop.

Does anyone know the trails up there? Or are we going commando :D
