96 Grand Laredo with 4.0 / auto has been running fine. But two times this week it has acted like the battery was going dead. Turns over slow, starts but will not idle(stalls), restart rev it up a bit stalls again. Restarts fine runs fine after that. I replaced the battery cable terminals(at battery end) with marine style terminals, after the first time, and the battery shows 12.56 volts with engine off. It did it again, the second time, last night but ran fine today. Both times it has made the vehicle information center time/ date reset as if voltage has been lost. Any of this ring a bell with anyone, thanks for any help......Rick......

get it started and remove the positive cable from your battery if it contiues to run borrow someone else battery and try to start it a couple times....(if it ran without the cable connected it might just be a bad cell in the battery) however if the car dies it might be your alt or a bad connection at chassis..
worth checking into had that prob on my cj
