This is NOT true. First you will need longer shocks. This lift will also move your axle sideways, so you will need to either get an adjustable front track bar, or some kind of relocation bracket. You will also need front and rear sway bar extensions. Longer brake lines (at least the front) will also be needed. Then, never forget that after you mess with any suspension components, you will need an alignment. There are other little things to consider, but we will need more info of what you have (stock or aftermarket wheels, tire size, etc.).

Ive got 31s on it with a budget boost. Just want a little more clearance, still rubs a bit sometimes. I figured i would need new shocks, but was told no trackbar or swaybars..Damn..didnt want to spend a whole lot

you could get new wheels or spacers which may take care of the rubbing, what have you got now? have you turned to full lock (both ways) to see where you are rubbing? might be as easy as a razor knife taking out a 1/4 inch of useless plastic...

Mine did the same thing. You have to trim the "splash guard" in the front of the wheel well. At that same angle, my tires would grab that piece of plastic. See if that helps.

When I lifted mine, I had 3.75" of lift in the rear with all stock components otherwise. Had no problems. The front was only at about 3"...but still had no problems. This is with stock control arms, sway bars, track bars, etc. You CAN use 3.5" springs and not buy anything else if you want.

However, if you could afford it, new track bars, shocks, etc. would be nice with that much lift. I think even a drop pitman arm for the steering would be nice on these. Adding that stuff will give you the full benefit of the lift.

Thats the first Ive heard of changing the pitman arm on a zj, I havent really looked at the components of the bigger lifts, maybe I just missed it. I did trim more and it has seemed to work. I was gonna do new shocks anyway, thought that might be an excuse to do another lift too. Ya know since I took all that time to take the wheels off and all!!

True you don't have to extend the brake lines, but at full droop my stock rubber ones were pretty tight, and I wasn't going to trust a 15 year old hose that is stretched.
