I have a 231 TC out of my '94 GC Laredo, 4.0L
The case works good, no problems - I swapped it out for a 242.
Has right at 107,000 miles.
$175.00 O.B.O.
Prefer local pick-up, as this will be a P.I.T.A. to ship
Located just north of Cincinnati, Ohio.

I do have the bezel, although it wasn't icluded in the price.... But, make me an offer, we'll go from there...

how much for just the bezel? I have a 231 case but I am trying to figure out if its cheaper to buy one from a ZJ or retro fit one from a YJ. I will def take the bezel though

RockZJ: FYI, not sure but it might be more of an issue of the linkage than the T-Case. Newer NPG/NVG's are all pretty similiar in basic bolt pattern. But there is also the input gear depth and splining to consider, so one from a ZJ with the same tranny might put you a real step ahead.

I can remember now... What was in yours that you are taking out??? A 242 yes? If you take his 231 perhaps you and I can talk this winter about your 242 to get my 249 out of mine my friend, making for a win-win situation for 3 Jeepers. I'll certainly want the linkage and bezel obviously from the donor. ....Let's all check the tech write ups here. Many of these issues have been taken on and tackled by others before. No need to re-invent the wheel here.

Hey Paul, actually my ZJ has the 249 in it as well. The 231 I have needs a 23 spline input gear from Advance Adapters to work in the ZJ and they told me that the linkage I will have to play with if its not directly from a ZJ with the same trans, as you said my friend. I have been trying to maybe find a 94 ZJ with the 231 in it and a HP 30 up front and just driving that and then eventually swapping the parts into and from the ZJ's after school is done. I will probably look for a V8 ZJ next maybe a 5.9 also, and yes I will deal with the gas mileage. HAHA.

I will take that bezel from you and depending on what you charge I may stick with my case, I would rather not and yours sounds dang perfect! College...robbing me of my money.

Oh and what trans was in the ZJ and motor?

I've already priced the T/C with the bezel to another member here on the forum. So, I think I'll sell them together. But hey, make me an offer on both. The price is a little flexible.

Yeah, my bank account isnt 175 flexible plus the gas out to you. Thanks though, good luck with the sale.

Not real sure if it would be a direct bolt on, or if possibly might have to change imput shaft.
The 242 has a "full-time" - That's why I swapped it.
