yup. for now. I had to tweek the upper arm and mount when I went to the d44. I wanna do some kind of adjustable arms later. Dont like that neither the lowers or my upper is adjustable. Might end up just ordering claytons front arms and using my crossmember from IRO. Who knows. For now it works great though.

So where are the shots of the ZJ ON the trailer?

Looks pretty damned good!
Hopefully this weekend I'll get a shot of it! might get to drive the jeep for the 1st time since labor day weekend. Its up on jackstands right now with all 4 axles out and both diff's torn apart. Needs inner/outter seals on both D44's and 2 pinion seals. Have I ever said I hate mud? lol

Got a 4 day weekend for thanksgiving, should have it done.

Looks great with the new fenders, and I assume you will be painting the entire thing black as the hitch section is black.
Good idea for the water/gasoline retainers, I like how it turned out.

Thanks!

And I think you missed a page, go back and look at pg 15. The whole thing is black and done.

:D

Yeah, it looks like I did miss page 15, I posted after looking at pg 14. It looks great, quite the transformation.

and just to stir the pot some, i have a diesel to pull mine.
just to stir the pot some more.... I wouldnt claim ANY mid 90s chevy a "diesel" or brag about towing with one. ........ ouch... burn. lol. By that i mean, really, who converts a gas motor to diesel anyway? I have a guy at work that LOVES the 6.2/6.5 motors. What a crack head.

Horsepower / Torque (at start): 130 hp (97 kW) @ 3,600 rpm / 240 lb·ft (325 N·m) @ 2,000 rpm
Horsepower / Torque (at final): 143 hp (107 kW) @ 3,600 rpm / 257 lb·ft (348 N·m) @ 2,000 rpm

Hmmmmmm and I rest my case. My GAS 4.7 has 235 Hp and 310 lb-ft stock. Mines eh... 250hp and 330 ft-lb.

Well, it got the maiden tow voyage today! Finally got the jeep loaded up for the 1st time to see a test fit. I must say, I do damn fine work. This was the 1st time i've got to see if all the work I did paid off.

I think it looks SICK together. MOPAR POWER!!!! Now I got to check out the little things, I welded the tie down rings on a "hunch" and i think they worked out nicely.

Back....

front...

As you can see theres still room to play with the center of gravity to make the tonque weight just right.

This is where it was today...

and theres just enough space in the front for the generator and jerry cans. =)

I even added a tough box to the tongue. Its gonna carry all my trail spares and tie downs when they arent being used, and its lockable.

So.. the dodge did better than I expected. It pulled it pretty well. Brakes seemed completely adequate. Power was there, glad I got the V8. Its the little 4.7 that could. Hemi would have been nice but the intake and exhaust combo helped it out. I think once I start towing more frequently it'll get a chip too.

Gas mileage went from 15-17mpg to right at 10.5mpg. And that was about a 30 mile loop with highway speeds and stop and go traffic. Sooo, the jeep only got 10mpg with the new motor in it, that means, i get BETTER gas mileage while towing it to the trail that driving it, hahaha PERFECT.

I must say, Im damn happy. God bless.

good job - smart job onthe jack stands! too many people forget
