I've never been wheelin with you guys here (maybe because I didn't own a ZJ till a month ago) but by the time this run is goin on I should be lifted with tires. Would love to go out with a bunch of other ZJ's I will try and get everything takin care of before this meet.

So...are you saying it's not a good idea to come along if I don't have winch or just add a winch to my list of planned mods?

And how do you guys normaly schedule meeting up for this run and where? I know nothing about this run and would like to get an idea so I can see what the schedule might be, or if I would even be able to make it.

Thanks for the info...

i think you'll need a winch or at least a front locker or you will probably hang people up but you never know till you get there. ask mr. rocks centralgrand.

A winch would be a good idea, but there was a time we only had one in the group. I think the group has progressed quite a bit over the years, and we're not scared of body-damage except keeping the glass intact. I'm currently Jeepless and along for the ride now. It's up to the rest and wether you feel confident in your rig or driving abilities. If you need driving tips Greenmachine, aka Easy-rider would would love to give ya a few tips, if he's not busy being giving me trail-head.

Well there have actully been quite a few changes around here. The ZJ will see some mild trail use but no where near what I was planning for it. After months of debate between myself and the girlfriend (and me and myself aswell) we have decided to keep my Scout and use it as the wheelin rig. Then do some light mods to the ZJ and she will be driving that back and forth to work and when we feel like wheelin together she will drive that on the trail. So looks like the plans I had for the ZJ are scrubbed at the moment. But thank you all for your input thus far and I will keep checkin for trail meets that would be suited for a ZJ with a BB and 31 inch tires ;-)

well, youguys didnt miss much. weather was crappy. sunday was nice so i headed up, ran into some friends, camped at tripod cabin, came home mon. in the rain.
better luck next year..

4th of july - went up galagar lake trail, too much snow could'nt make it to the lake. ran mine to market, can't make it all the way trail is too narrow on a shale side hill death steep. (not my kind of trail steep edge the whole way.) fun family wheeling weekend though.

So I sat down and thought about it. Turns out in the past four months I have only missed two weekends of wheelin! I started a new thread about what I am doing with my new rig in the " Your Grand Cherokee" area. My current rig is torn right through in several areas and is literally falling apart.

I just updated this thread with the recent goings on.
