I really like your front bumper. It appears like it can be tied easily if you wanted to add some more steel.
Yeah, I'm not quite done with it. I want to fill in the lower hole with some aluminum that I have. I'll put some holes in it for airflow but right now the radiator is a bit exposed.

Frozen-- went back and looked at your pics-- VERY AWESOME!! Nice work, bumpers came out sweet and the long arm set up is looking awesome! Love how you mounted you cb in the dash too!! Very clean, I see where you moved the HVAC controls, they work ok there??

Yeah, they work fine. Was a real pain in the rear to get that huge circuit board wedged in there for the automatic climate control. That took the longest time but it worked out pretty good. I still need to adjust the left bracket for the CB, its a little off but not too bad.

You in SE PA? I used to live in Paoli.

I know round about where Paoli is. About 30-40 minutes away from me. I live near Quakertown/Souderton area. Thanks for the info!! Your Zj looks good!!!

can you take pictures of how you have the HVAC controls and the CB mounted in those locations. Did you make brackets? Also, what model CB is that? that is an amazing idea!

I dont have any pictures but I need to pull it back out to adjust the bracket and stuff. I'll take some pictures them and post them up for you. I got the idea from some threads on this forum about mounting the cb. I think they are in the interior section of the site.

The CB is a galaxie and its great. I've skipped and talked to people in Alabama before from Idaho.

On my '98 there were already holes on the sides in the roof for the screws and I made a bracket that hooks to where the rear dome light goes for the center support. I forgot to get the one off of the 5.9. You might have to mark the holes on yours but I'm sure you could get it to work out.

I ordered the correct ball joints for it and also the ends for the track bar today.

I'm thinking that since the front is wide open, it would be a great time to build a steering box brace for it. I'll start on that one tomorow.

If you could get pictures of both the Cb mounting and the HVAC mounting, you would be my hero, lol!
I'll do it but it might be a bit. I have to pull the glovebox off and stuff and right now I'm working on the front end. I do need to get back into it but it might be a few weeks.

Almost got the steering brace done today. Got most of it but was off a little bit on one of the tabs for the clamp side. I'll fix that one tomorow. Was pretty easy to build and I just used some scrape I had laying around. Nice for the piece of mind.

Here is the long part installed. I'll have the clamp side on tomorow.

Got some more done on it.

Stipped down the old axle, cut it in half and tossed it in the trash. Also reamed out the steering ends and put on the ends to see how long of tubes I need to get. Also stuck in the ball joints and put on the knuckles. Put on the new yoke, stuck the cover on and a new pinion seal. Right now the axle is sitting at about 5.5" of lift. I had 3.5" of real lift and I'm raising it two more inches as I plan to run 35" when these tires wear out. Also ordered the ends for the trackbar. I want to build the steering up and then the trackbar so I can match them up.

Should have it back together within two weeks (I hope) and then its time for the rear!

Details on that rear? Looks nice :)

The rear is the stock Dana 44a with an aussie locker stuffed in it. Its going to get 4.56 gears also, locker back in it. Truss over the top with a skid on the bottom and then get a four link suspension on it and dump the track bar.

I'm trying to work a deal on a front OX locker now. Not sure If I'm going to get it but I hope so. Be nice to be able to open the front.

Are you hp or lp in the front? It would make a world of difference for a selectable up front.

I'm moving from LP to HP. I was just going to move the lockright over but I did get that OX locker so its going in. Picking it up this weekend. I'll post up some picks. :D

Got some more progress done. Got the steering on and part of the trackbar worked out. Pinion angle moves more then I really want but it does help the driveline angles I guess.

This is all the way stuffed. I could have used a round upper link with a smaller diameter and I think I could have gotten full stuff.

Here it is sitting on the floor. Its not going to droop this much in the car but I wanted to see what bound and to take a look at the pinion angle.

More flex then I plan on using. No binding anywhere.

Now here is a problem. To make this a double shear, I think I'm going to box in the mount and reinforce it all up then I think it will work. I used 1" ID for the tube and its 1/4" wall DOM. Using 3/16" wall might have made things fit a hair bit better.

The trackbar is about 2.5" shorter then the draglink so I'm hoping bumpsteer will not be too big of a deal.
