It looks like you dont have enough contact between the output shaft on the transmission and the input on the transfer case. That "weep" hole is there to let you know there's an issue. Did you guys check the 249 input shaft length versus the 231 shaft length to make sure it was comparable or identical? That could be the issue right there,

Crawling under mine to get a better idea of what you got pictured, I see where you are talking about. That weep hole will also let fluid seep out if the output shaaft seal on your TRANS is leaking. Did you replace that while you had the TC out?? If not I'd bet that is your leak.

We decided we are going to replace that rear tranny seal and see if it stops the leaking. Start with the cheapest fix and work our way up. Any other ideas?

Yeah, do you have your 249 laying around to measure the input shaft length? When you have the 231 out measure both and if its drastically different and the seal doesnt fix it, you are gonna need to either swap the input shafts and sun gears or buy a new input shaft that is the proper length

I remember seeing pics of him doing the input shaft swap when they were doing the LA's and TC swap.

Yup we swapped em. Not to mention we've been chucking pieces of that 249 out since it came out ;)

I hadn't heard they were doing one. Maxx has never been up to that area to wheel with me. When are they doing it, you planning on it?

One of my buddies recently got a job at a local auto shop so I figured why not hop on the chance at a free mounce and balance of the spare Irok. Took some pics since he was nice enough to let us in and see how they do it professionally as opposed to my fire trick :D

Loading the rok up on the machine with the soft 8.

Ratcheting with a combination of pulling up on the tire to help seat the tire.

And airing it up.

1st attempt, not bad all things considered.

And perfect.

Hopefully this weekend we'll be throwing the spare up and taking down the a/t :D
