can somebody explain exactly what overdrive is/does and the advantages of having it on or off?

just one more quick question though. why would someone want to run with it off?

alright, so say all i have is a 2" BB and 31s. should i worry about messin with the OD or no?

so would it slow me down any or would it just rev higher, burn more gas and be better for my trans or did i miss the whole point of OD all togehter?

also, how much worse gas mileage would i expect to get?
