I have a problem with my 02 Overland. This seems to be completely random when it happens and not very often, but when it does it, it's getting worse.
About 1 year ago every once in a while the doors wouldn't unlock when I opened the drivers door. Then it developed into not turning the dome lights on either. About 6 months ago locks would get very slow in operation when this occured.
Now though, sometimes there is a big pop and the odometer is all fuzzy and the clock resets, the locks don't work etc. It happened to my wife the other day and she couldn't start it until she cycled the locks a couple times (she was just trying random things).
In the last 3 Months I've put in a new heater core, and new engine, but all these things have been going on for a lot longer than that, so I doubt it is something directly related to either of those repairs. Is there a part of the door that can go bad causing a short?
Any help would be appreciated. This vehicle is becoming very frustrating. Out 01 larado with the 4.7 ran 120K with out one major problem. Now this 02 overland with 70K has cost me tons and tons of money and the problems still aren't worked out.
Thanks
Bob
