I just put RE 3.5's up front and left the rear stock and the ride was better than stock.

yesterday, I put the stock front springs in the rear and now the ride is way too stiff. also sits a bit higher in the rear. IMO I like the front a lil higher than the back. Just think it looks better.

I think I am going to go with a 2 inch spacer and stock springs in the back or order some softer springs.

I have no vibs but did experience some death wobble with the front to back swap. I am still running stock trac bars and lca's.

I have the alignment cam on the front lca set as suggested for this lift.

I know a beefier track bar with stiffer bushings will help cure the death wobble. My question is what track bar to go with... will the adjustible track bars be too long??

will a drop pitman arm help?? mayby beefier steering set up (tie rods and drag link)... if so is there anything aftermarket or do I need to have them fabbed up??

this site is awesome... Muy mucho info and so little time.

Whoa, you lifted 3.5" with all that stuff stock! I had to get a 6' pry bar on my axles to get the stock track bars back on a 2.25" budget boost!

Your death wobble will be tough to chase down because chances are your geometry is all off. You need the longer adjustable LCAs both front and rear and longer adjustable Track bars both front a rear. The LCAs will get your geometry back and probably save your bushings some pain. Point being, a good alignment castor-wise is probably not possible. Will also help center your tires front to back in their wheel wells.

The track bars, other than possible getting bound up, are probably sitting your rear axle about 1.5" to the right and your front axle about 1.5" to the left as is with stock track bars. Not a huge problem, but looks silly and will probably cause some rubbing on one side or the other at 3/4 flex.

Short answer, any reputable/adjustable track bar will help, both front and rear. However, you might still have issues until you get you LCAs right. A new steering stabilizer goes along ways also.

I only have a 2.25" BB, I'm friends with my alignment guy, and he basically showed me how close I was to being unable to properly align things. Another 1/2" and I wouldn't have been able to get to alignment specs without buying some of the above mentioned parts.

There is a reason they only sell ~2" budget boosts asan add on to stock components, and all the 3" and up kits include more parts.

PS: Do a spacer and stock springs in the back...F>Rs ride like a brick, my opinion.

I am no thru by any means

RE adj LCA's are on the list of soon to buy items, same with the track bar.

I am just concerned that the adjustible trackbars are made for a higher lift and may push the axle over too far.

I do not want to extend the brackets and run stock track bars. I believe this would seriously weaken the set up. I am interested in making it much stronger.

What shocks ar you runing in the rear with your BB

Ahhhh, I see. The RE adjustable will work with a 3.5" lift, Kevins is probably tougher though. I personally don't have this, but a freind of mine is running a similar setup.

My 2.25" BB is running on 4 Skyjacker Hydros, I love them. I was totally blown away with what 2" lift, new shocks, and 31x10.50s gave me compared to stock, holy cow!

I must admit that my personal off-roading is a bit different than a lot of people's around here. I live in KS, I have big open bumpy praries, lot's of mud, dry creek beds, and the occasional hilly trail. No rocks really. I drive a lot on the highway, and then I need to move fast across the praries....so my lift is more mud/baha/highway oreintated than a super trail rock climber lift, lol.

got the 2" BB yesterday.. will go back to stock rear springs and BB on my next day off. The DW I experienced was very mild and only happened once. I know from riding in a buddies WJ w 4.5 teraflex lift how bad DW can be. I had a violent scary experience in this veh. My DW was very mild.

I drove my Zj for half a day with just the front in with no DW and a very comfortible ride. after I put the stock front springs in the back my ride has suffered greatly. It seems to steer a lil happy (too Quick) with the rear so high. I realize this is due to the alignment (steering knuckles rotated forward). I plan to address this with adj CA's in the near future.

Still have to buy shocks. waiting on my JKS front upper mount conversion. and I am not sure what shocks that I am going to go with yet.
