Tire size

I have seen a lot of older threads about tire size but they (to me) weren’t definitive. I have a 2005 WK Limited with 4WD. In the next couple of weeks I am going to do a 2 1/2” lift on it. Obviously I will want to get bigger AT tires. I am not going to go rock crawling or do any extreme off-roading but I want it to be capable in the back country as I do a lot of camping and over-landing… stuff like that. I don’t want to have to do any cutting and I don’t want any rubbing. The stock size is 245/65R17. I want to be able to mount bigger tires on the stock wheels that I have so I’m thinking I will go with the 265/70R17. Does anyone have any advice? Can I go a little bigger?
