I'm putting an 180* stat in my '93 ZJ/5.2 and read that you can/should drill a small 1/8" hole to act as a "Jiggler Valve" to prevent air lock? Is this wise? Has anyone done this mod with success? Can it be detrimental?

Actually, if you get the right thermostat for the Jeep you do not need to drill a hole, as the correct one already has the bleeder hole in it. Why do you think you need a 180 in there?

180* Stat

I live in So. Cal and drive to St. George via Las Vegas once a month. My 5.2L has been running a bit hotter than I prefer-about 205-210* in heavy traffic w/AC off. Recently replaced water pump(leak) & radiator(leak). No head gasket leak. So I'm gonna try the 180* and see if that makes a diff.
