I have a 95 ZJ I6 4.0

I would like to change my plugs. I have not done this before and have the following questions:

1)
How tight – I read that the plug should be made hand tight and then ¼ turns more. Is that correct?

2)
I have the autolite platinum plugs. Which size socket should I buy?

3)
Any other tips for changing plugs

I believe that most plugs should be torqued to 19 foot pounds...but your method should be close...snug, but not tight. Use some ant-sieze on them as well. Get some compressed air (the canned stuff is fine) and blow out any crap that might be around each plug before pulling them out.
