Kevin uses a high grade polycarbonate compound that will help eliminate the unibody's flex.

Rusty's design is less then average. The UHMW (ultra high molecular weight) compound he uses has been known to directly cause DW and lead to premature unibody failure.

Teraflex's polyurethane ones sueeek. Also some peopel have complained abotu them causeing yoru front AND rear springs to sag termendiously.

What ever you get just make sure that the company balances them before installation. And it iw always important to check it they are weighted correctly. Remember the drivers side one needs to be lighter then the passenger side to counter act the weight of the driver.

I'm not sure what size tire you can run with each BB. you shoudl ask around. Maybe start a thread, i'm sure there are tons of peopel who are willign to chime in on this.

Ya, i switched from the RE ones to Kevin's and the days of my rear hatch not being able to open were over. night and day difference.

i didn't realize the weights were different at first so when i put them in my drivers side was sitting about an inch lower. i switched them around and it fixed it. For some reason thats never mentioned anywhere.

Never mind BigDave... he is an idiot!

But the others are right... at first I had Teraflex, and then I got Kevins. Night and day difference... Kevins didn't squeek, and I was able to fit a 30" tire with minor trimming.

I'll be nice....

You could stick some freakin' hocky puck shaped things in there and not know the difference [smilie=bal_ask.gif]

???I'm SO confused???

Wait...i just got the RE BB kit with pucks and RE monotube shocks. WTF is this about weight? It's rubber/plastic it's not changing that much other than giving you two inches of compression on the springs...it's like being perminantly lighter weight as far as travel goes...that's why it's only two inches. Think about floading over a swell in the freeway and getting stuck at that height. Isn't that all it is? What's this about BB weight? You're not subtracting anything that is stock, you're just giving more distance to the spring...wouldn't it be like buying bigger springs? (it's like adding 2" of none flexing spring to the suspension?) am i just out of the ball park off?

Sorry guys I didn't see the newbie question area where this should have been posted. I did a lot of searching but didn't really see anything about the similarities and differences between them.

Thanks for the info Matt. Are there any local trail meets that happen around the burgh?
