94 zj 4.0

Recent purchase. Owned a 94 xj 2.5 5spd before.

17 to -10 degrees, full on fluid. Going into reverse just fine. When into drive there is a 1-3 second delay till it feels like the trans fluid pressure is high enough it goes into first.

While driving coming into a stop sign or red light. same symptom; slips for second then kicks in first.

No slips in any other gear or slipping at highways speeds. any ideas?

TV adjustment good. Flushed out the transmission for good measure, not just a drain and fill, but ran 20 quarts through the flush machine at work. Drove it around for a while, no symptoms tonight. I have the jeep outside the garage tonight in -14 degree weather. We'll see how she drives tomorrow morning.

I looked up governor pressure sensor on ALLDATA and Mitchel, couldn't find an entry about it. what gives?

Thanks for the advise thus far.
