you have bad rotors. Go to autozone and buy some aftermarket units (fronts only) and you could throw in some pads for cheap since you have the rotors off anyway. Stay away from factory replacments.

I had the same problem in my 02, view it here.

I wouldn't have them cut/resurfaced as the mopar rotors are garbage and you'll just have the same problem again in about 12k. I bought some rotors for Big-O, (I have a friend who works there) $60 and installed them in about 30-45 mins. I've only put 3K on them since, but from everything I've read about this problem I should be good for a lot more miles then that Mopar crap. Also read this article about class action lawsuit against Jeep for this problem http://www.onetomany.com/jeepnews/content.asp?i=709

Good luck with it.

04 low mile, is it still under warranty? If so, have dealer replace, no $$$ out of your pocket. Once they are replaced: when stopping from freeway speeds, let the WJ roll forward a bit after the hard braking so that the heat from the pads is spread out over the rotor.

A highspeed trip down from the Eisenhauer tunnel into Denver with a cool down run on I-70 through part of Denver reduced the warp that I was feeling in my wife's 01 WJ. I'll have to replace the rotors though at some point since I can't get her to let the WJ roll a bit at stoplights.
