Replacing my 247 TC with a 249 TC
Thanks for the input guys I really appreciate it. My 99 limited has made a horrible popping noise since the day I got it, it sounded as if the chain was slipping in the transfer case. (I took it in to the dealership and they said it was a normal noise and gave me some technical bulletins about changing the input shaft and if that didn't work grinding on the TC.) Well like i said, it made it's last pop when I was in about 8" of mud on a small hill, it kicked out like a mule and I spent 3 hours getting it on 2X10's so I could have my father in law pull me up over the hill! I was just thankful it was another Jeep that pulled me out :lol: N-e-ways, thanks for the input guys, but if i gotta buy a 231 TC I might as well look for a 247... (Hopefully it don't POP!)
