I want to remove this, if possible, to clean the edges. Dirt and everything under the sun gets trapped in there and it looks gross! I can't remember what this is called for the life of me and the only thing I'm coming up with is "center console". Since I'm unsure of the name, I can't look it up.

I know it's possible to remove it but how involved is it?
