OK guys...i have searched and i may of figured this out but i wana make sure. I do not have a blown head gasket first off. OK i was out wheeling yesterday testing out the new locker and gears..and i look down at my gauge...its in the 250 area. i immeaditly cut it off and popped my hood. My overflow container was...well overflowing. I let it cool down to about 210 and then i went on with the trail...never had another hot problem on the trail. Got off the trail and ran great...on the way home (about 4 hours later) my gauge read 240ish and just stayed there. i was only about 2 minutes from my house so i just drove it on home and parked it. I went out of town today and the Jeep is at home. I need to know what parts i need. Im gonna go ahead and get a new thermostat. Also gonna change coolant (50/50). Then when i change it im going to take the cap off and let it stop boiling/bubbling completely. IM not sure if this will fix it but i hope it does. After that what should i do? CHeck the water pump? radiator?...these 318s have some overheating issues.
Thanks for the help
