I realize there might not be many people out there who know how to help me out here, but i'm out of ideas so i hope one of you has already delt with this before me.
my front wipers have gone out on me and i've checked everything from the multifunction switch to the motor. I'm not getting power to the wiper motor or to the washer fluid motor. (just the front; the rear works fine) so i'm looking at my wireing diagram and it talks about the Intermittent Wiper Module (IWM) and i know where to find it on the 93-95 OBDI jeeps, (behind the driver's side kick panel) but i can't figure out where it is on the 96-98 OBDII jeeps? Does it exist? (i sure hope so or that means i have a POS wireing diagram.) ok, so somebody PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME, you know how it feels when you've done everything you can do and still can't get it working. it's always these little annoying things. i'm this close to going over to my local dealership and bending over for them, ya'll don't wanna see that.

ok, so here's what i've found out so far.

the use of a seperate intermittent wiper module was discontinued with the introduction of the OBD II computer and it was relocated so that it is intergrated in with the motor itself.

so my next question; anyone know that if the IWM is bad would it still explain why i am not getting power to the wiper motor? I checked the wiper relay and it seems to work fine (switched it with the startor motor relay since they're identical).

I think i'm gonna try slappin a new motor in tomorrow and see what happens, and if it doesn't work and no one else has any new ideas for me, it's goin to the shop. thanks for the reply(s).

Yes. i think you've helped my a lot just now. i checked in the PDC and i'm gettin power to the fuse for the relay but no power at the relay, so there is definately a circuit blown somewhere in there, so time to pull that out and see if i can see it and soder it back. thanks a bunch, i'll keep ya posted.
