Since my 95 ZJ is now considered "totalled" (it still drives but needs A LOT of work done to it), I decided to turn it into a project car for mudding and trails...Possibility of rock-crawling later on

I'm lookin at the RE8000 for a lift, 33's (not sure what kind i want or how big rims should be), new transmission (not sure what kind either)

So far that's a starting list...And I'm quite aware it's short.
I'm kinda a noob to this so if anyone has any opinions / advice
for a different build, I'm all eyes.

The amount of work needed to be done is more than the cost of the jeep.

The tranny is almost shot, and the front axle housing is bent. My mechanic said the car was probably worth about $500 at most but it still seems to run fine for me.

i don't see anything wrong with the jeep..... take some pics and post them... we'll help you as much as we can

:)

Lol. Well tell your mechanic he's a joke if he thinks its totaled...that baby is mint! What so a simple axle swap and new tranny make it messed beyond repair!? We've seen far worse looking ZJ's come back to life. I'd swap in a 44al in the rear and a hp30 in the front. Then gear to 4.56 and get the 33's. Aussie rear locker and Powertrax no-slip front. Get some alloy 30 spline inner and outters for the 30 and you'll be good. What tcase? May wanna swap a 242 in there also.
