20.8 mpg actual (not computer)

2002 WJ Laredo 4.7 Selec-Trac 61K miles, 100% stock
2000 miles Miami -> Chicago (5/22 - 5/26) - 99.9% highway
80-95*F the whole way so A/C running all 2000 miles
Used cruise @ 5mph over the limited 99% of the time
Used the actual miles/gallon of gas although the computer was dead on!
20.8 mpg which I was thrilled about considering I use the A/C the whole ride. I think I could have gotten' 21-22 mpg w/o the A/C.

Checked it again in her current form, time to out the 5.3 in I think.

36/13.50's, 4.88's, 5.2ltr, and heavy as ****. Was getting 15 in town and 18-19 highway but she over heated in the woods a few weeks back and has now dropped to a overall average of 8mpg. Im sad but she's been a trooper for the 228k of hell its lived through.

I just got 16.8 MPG with my last tank. That's by far the best tank I've had in a long time. I average about 13.6 now according to Fuelly.

So I pick up a 98 5.9, the first tank of gas got 13.
After return to stock tires, stock exhaust, complete fluid change including axles and transfer case replaced with full synthetic I'm getting 16 mpg hand calculated.
I want better.

2004 Rocky Mountain Edition

Year 2004
Mileage 186400
4.0 Inline 6 - Bosch 4 port injectors
2.5 Lift Kit
Goodyear Pro Wrangler 245/65/17 Tires
K&N FIPK
Magnaflow 2.5 (15869) Exhaust System
Selec-Trac 4WD system (NV242 T-case)

I get about 14mpg around town, about 17 mpg on the highway. I would probably get better highway mileage, but I have a bull bar and a rooftop floodlight system that causes a lot of resistance.

Been a while since I posted on this.

95 ZJ
5.2 (cam, IM, ECU, IHE, Headers, torque converter)
247k miles
Lots of lift and steel added
4.88s, 38" iroks on beadlocks (heavy!)
D300
46RH tranny

Mixed driving, I daily it to work now since my durango is down and take my boy to school in it (his little friends love it) haha. But I'm averaging 10.2 mpg, if I get on the highway a good bit I'll see up to 13mpg.

'02 WJ, 121k miles, 4.7L V8, NP242, all stock (as far as fuel economy is concerned).

Was getting about 16mpg commuting to/from work with mixed city/highway (very little highway).
Got 20-21mpg on my last tank which was probably 75% highway driving at 70-75mph.

Just picked her up a month ago so I'm still working through my maintenance checklist. Hoping a new air filter, trans/t-case/diff fluid flush, and some other odds and ends will help bump that up a bit, mostly around town.
