Year: '97
Mileage: 71000

Gears: Stock 3.73
T-case: 249
Engine mods: none
Armor: none
Driving conditions: 50/50 City/Highway
Driving style: Very conservative with the skinny pedal

I have been traveling the same 15 miles one way twice daily for the last 6 days straight and I am averaging 23-24 mpg. Mix city and hwy. That is with a 96 5.2 with a few mods and 183k on the clock. When I don't keep my foot out of the throttle its about 10-12 mpg!

93 octane SCT tuned, 52mm tb, 249 without front ds, 24 lb/hr injectors, straight piped dual exhaust, 3.75" lift stock tires

It would probably make a better comparison to post up gear ratio as well. How about this format:

Year: 93
Engine: 4.0
Miles: 167k
Tire size: 35"
Gear ratio: 4.88
Avg MPG: 10

Also have to figure in how many heavy mods the jeep has. I have a heave a** front and rear bumper, skid plates, sliders, heavy front axle, etc.

13 MPG. I am on 35's with 4.56's. Sometimes it feels like driving a brick down the road. Think I am due for a tune up and new O2 sensor though...

MPG: 12.5 - 13
Year: '99
Mileage: 114000
Engine: 4.7L
Lift: RK 6.5" LA
Tires: 315x75x16 (about 35's)
Gears: 4.56 Yukons
T-case: 247
Engine mods: drop in K&N
Armor: Iceland fiberlgass bumper and flares, steel rock sliders
Driving conditions: 50/50 City/Highway
Driving style: Moderate. Not smashing the pedal, but not easy on it either.
Other: Surco Roof Rack

This would be a great layout, add mods as well though. Also, stock gearing is what? I have no idea what my stock gears are for my ZJ.

Most 4.0s have stock 3.55 gears and most 5.2s have stock 3.73 gears. I believe 4.0s with the towing package did come with 3.73s. never heard of stock 4.10s though.

The lift kit has not arrived yet but I'll send you some pics when I get her rolling. I can throw the stockers on there and snap some pics before I put on the 31's ....

Does anyone have anything done under the hood ?? Such as a larger TB's, Intake Mani, Cam, headers, tuned, etc ... or maybe Boost perhaps ???

The previous life I came from (the ol' 3800 world) it was a lot more common to mod under the hood than to lift it, lock it, and rock it like it is with our Jeeps :)
