Just noticed that these wires are not connected. 99% sure they are supposed to be set

in the black plug above them in the pic. This is front left of engine comprtment. Any info/help on how this is affecting my grand cherokee and whether I can or should try to rewire it myself would be greatly appreciated. It doesn't seem to be causing any problems?
