I did this to my daughter's '03 about a month ago. I drove it home one night and never realized that the lights were so dim - the low beams were ridiculously dim, but she never told me. I bought bulbs from Amazon, but they only fit the high beam position (the cooling fin diameter was too large to fit in the hole). So installed them as high beams and I ordered a different brand that night. They came in the next day - installed them as low beams, a VIOLA! - just like a new car! Well worth the $70 spent.
She had a no start issue after school last week - had to trailer it home (a couple of miles). It was parked the rest of the week, so we decided to go ahead and give her an early graduation/college present - we bought her a 2020 Nissan Sentra with 16K miles so she would be safe and we would not have to worry about her in the 20yo, 185k mile GC. Now I am working on the GC to replace my '17 Wrangler Big Bear Unlimited as my daily driver. Replacing some leaky gaskets and plugs today plus cleaning the throttle body and sensors. It has 3/4 tank of gas, so I'm going to try to run that out so I can replace the fuel pump that is almost dead.
