Now that JP magazine has run their article about quick disconnects in their January 2011 issue, I'm sure more than a few of you have looked into getting a set for your jumper cables, or winch etc....
In the article they mentioned a company (more than a few times) called Wranglers NW who sells a premade kit for you of cables and connectors, and its only $149!

Now, I can see why your interest stopped there, thats pricey, and you already own jumper cables (you DO don't you??).
I made a set like this YEARS ago and have been on ALL my Jeeps. I unfortunatley fell for WARN's price and spent $40 on a set of plugs....

After doing some research this morning, I found one of the actual suppliers to these companies... Anderson, who is carried through www.PowerWerx.com
The same plugs you pay $40 for a pair of about anywhere, are only about $6 each in a variety of colors. Obviously you need (2) to make it work. This way you can do your own set. These are the SB120 series (120 amp).

I have a set of 6ga jumper cables, that, while they won't easily jump a deisel, they work fine for most vehicles. I got the SB50 (50 amp) plugs and have them on my cables.

I have plug out the front of the Jeep for easy access. This allows you to hook up the plugs on the other vehicle, and then just plug yours in to the easy connector, no popping the hood etc. Congrats, now, rather then spend $40 to $150 for jumper cables that are a NICE addition, you did it yourself for as little as $12 shipped.
