I have been searching on here and have not found quite the same problem. I have on my 02 WJ limited with dual climate control. The heater fan was cutting out once and a while and by giving the small black box that would sit above the passanger feet held in by 2 screws a tap and it would be good for awhile. Now the fan will not work at all, I took off that box to do visual inspection. Just so you know which im talking about it had like 40 metal pins on the back side of it that looked more like some kind of heat sensor? Anyways I did notice on the 3 wire connector going to it that the wire insulation was melted off right close to the connector but the fuse for blower fan never blew. The melted wires were touched each other which im sure was not good, I seperated them but it still does not work. I am kind of assuming that the box is cooked? But why would those wires melt?
I would very greatful if someone has had very similar problem or knows what it is because its COLD in Canada.
