I have to say that until you've experienced Tellico type trails, its hard to compare it to anything, expecially out west. Here's what I would conscider as the possible groupings and their baseline characteristics. We could go one step harder for a small group of no more than 5 people, but the difficulty of those trails mandates small group size.
Beginner-
Skid Plates, Rocker Protection, and 30-31" tires recommended. Smaller vehicles could be conscidered, but know that you're taking a greater risk of dammage with less than the above.
Intermediate All of the above plus 31-32" tires and some previous driver experience. One locker would help.
Advanced- 33+ tires and at least one locker, plus the above. Winch advised, body dammage is more likely but not unavoidable. This group would likely do SlickRock if weather and group size permit.
Superfly advanced- If we have enough interested and equiped people, (but less than 6) I'd conscider leading a group of people to some of the hardest trails at tellico... I'd appreciate dual lockers and a winch, 35s and up would be nice, but not mandatory. I'll be scouting trails of this level this weekend, so I'll let you know about that. Be advised that Tellico changes constantly from the weather and usage. I wouldn't say that body damage is a given anywhere there, but can definitely happen if you get careless. I'd be interested in doing this around the end of Middle to end of August, which seems to be a likely time for this event. I'll talk with pearce this weekend about this event, and since RCR is this weekend, that event will be behind him, so he'll have more time.
I'd rather call it GSSE or GST(Tellico) than GSS anyhow, so the texans could still have their GSS
