true trac front = you should be okay running a 31" spare up front, eh? it's only temporary.
Not sure about that though.... The tru-trac does engage at some point... Not fully of course but... actually I really don't know about tire size w/ that particular carrier [smilie=bal_ask.gif]

20" ea. side, mounted the extended brake line in the middle. bend ea. side to fit your axle, weld a nut where they meet. bolt your extended break line there. This should be on the "axle party" thread

Well again, this last weekend I spent the Friday night and Saturday night up at a cabin near the rocks scoutin for Elk. As I was driving up to the Rocks Friday we encountered a blizzard which is the first snow of the year! It wasn't much, but as I left this morning it was snowin pretty hard too. The weather may be kickin in a bit faster than we had planned as last year it didn't fall til November. We will have to keep an eye on it. Oh and to put any myths to rest I beat on my destroyed D30 pretty hard on the rocks Friday night expecting it to break as the new axle is going in Tuesday. It held up quite well, despite a few new noises  Also the chinsy 110 welding job on my rear lower trac-bar mount held up alright... about half of it

priority list - get the swampers on, wheel it, trim it, probably order some rims that work better anyway.
install chis' old rear locker.
get some butt ugly yet functional mirrors.
fix the sloppy steering joints i just found.
get all fluids changed.
new battery

'it would be nice' list -
rock rails
new steering pump
new water pump
more lighting
gas tank skid

I think it's important that everyone adding a buch of new stuff wheel it at least once before GS.
we're about a month away!!

My to do list.

Add gusseting to my rear axle's upper CA and track bar bracket. We should all do this now so we don't have to do it on the trail.

1. Install gas tank skid plate.

2. Install Aussie locker and chromo axles up front.

3. Install Novak t-case shifter conversion ( don't want the stock stuff coming apart again.)

4. Quit my job.

5. purchase and install a new front drive shaft.

6. Aquire excellent cold weather camping gear. I almost froze to death camping at Evans in what I though was a warm sleeping bag.

Things I would like to do.

7. Build "top hat" style roof rack. I've got all the plans. Just need the time and the steel. Item 4 on my list will give me plenty of time though.

8. Build a 231 t-case with a HD output and 2 lo kit. Install with new rear drive shaft.
