I've got a strange problem with my ZJ. When I remove the key from the
ignition, the HL (headlights) are staying on, even if the HL switch is set
to off. (first , I want to mention that I'm aware of the feature that is
keeping your HL on after the key is remove and that my current problem IS
NOT related to that). So if the truck is running, and the HL are off, when I
remove the key they are staying on and the blue light telling me that the
High Beam are on is light up. Even if I'm switching from low to high without
the key in the ignition, I'm still stuck with the low beam on.. even if I
wait 5 minutes! I think I found out what my problem is.. I think it's
related to the theft module.. It might be the relay that make the light
blink when for example the panic button is pressed, that is stuck in open
position. To validate this , I need to found the theft module... but I
wasn't able to find it yet. Is anyone aware where this module might be
located, or more specifically, where the relay to blink the HD when the
panic button is pressed is located ? Thanks for any help and excuse me for
my poor english since it's not my primary language. :)

I'd track down the headlight relay. It sounds like that might be where the problem is. It could also be the relay tyed to the relay for the theft system.
Id try pulling the headlight relay and check for voltage going to the relay after the key is turned off. If you get constant power to the realy then the problem is before the relay. If the power in momentary then Id look to the theft system.

Just my thought. Be sure to let us know what you come up with.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. The problem, as I said in the previous message, is that I don't know where theft module is located. I'm sure that the relay from the theft module is bad, but again I need to find it first! I will go ahead with your recommendations and keep you updated.
