My coolant overflow tank in '02 JGC 4.7L has been surprisingly low and I need to add some antifreeze/distilled water mix but... I see all this talk about HOAT coolants that DC uses so what's in there OEM? Do I need to go to Jeep for the HOAT coolant or can I just use whatever Autozone has?

I use whatever Atozone, Napa ETC. has. Really havnt noticed a difference in two at all.

I know this sounds dumb but: make sure you buy the right color! Seriously though, they say that if you mix the red type coolant and the greenish yellow type coolant together, they make a nasty sludge in your radiator. I personally would be on the safe side and get the OEM stuff (doesn't yours run the "long life" type?). I dunno, I guess I'm paranoid but, some things I think when in doubt go OEM!

Im with you on that one. Ive heard that also and actually had one of my friends over in my shop to swap his radiator for a performance one in a Nissan Skyliner GTR and he mixed his up and we emptied his old radiator sludge came out with it. Dont know for sure thats what it was.
