what does it mean?
code states:
An open or shorted condition detected in the auto shutdown relay circuit. An open condition detected in the ASD relay output circuit. An open or shorted condition detected in the fuel pump relay control circuit. An open circuit between PCM and fuel gauge sending unit. Circuit shorted to voltage between PCM and fuel gauge sending unit. No movement of fuel level sender detected
thanks

Well, what is the problem(s) you are having, if any? AS you can see, this is a pretty generic code that covers a lot of different stuff. Does the engine start and run? DOes the fuel guage seem to work?

the fuel gauge if it gets down to 1/2 tank will drop down to E and then jump back up. and sometimes the truck will stall if im stopped. i just want to know if this is early signs of the fuel pump going?

When my fuel pump failed, the engine gradually (over a couple months) lost power, then on the highway suddenly wouldn't do better than idle.

It sounds like a true open circuit problem, like a loose connection. Since you're having problems with two separate parts on the same assembly, I would check the plugs very carefully for corrosion or looseness, especially the ground. Plus, I would follow the ground circuit all the way to where it actually connects to the car frame. I don't have a manual for that year, so I can't tell you which wire it is. If that stuff looks perfect, then you will have to pull the fuel pump/ gage sender/ filter/ pressure regulator assembly and inspect all that stuff. If you think it's original, then you really ought to replace it all. I got one assembly from the dealer for about $350.00 (!), and I had to adjust the gage sender float to read a lot closer to true level (on mine it would read totally full for about 3 gallons, or 1/7th of a tank).

Good luck!
