My muffler was rotted out and my jeep was running rough. felt like it wanted to stall and check engine light was on. I changed out my muffler and it runs smooth again. check engine light is still on. cat has a small hole in it. I don't have money to fix it right now. If i change my 02 sensor out for a new one will it ruin the new o2 sensor because of the hole in the cat? a Shop ran a comp for the code. Sorry dunno what its called. they said it was the o2 sensor because of the muffler.

The guy at the shop didn't tell me the code just said it was the o2 sensor. anywase i changed the muffler and the check engine light was on and i got a bunch of water out of my fuel and the light turned off now!!!! The only way to get the code checked is to bring it in to get repaired, know a friend with a code reader or get a code reader from what i know of in canada. Thanks for trying to help
